Plus size clothing tends to cost more than straight sizes (various sites from Babe.com to Huffington Post). People attribute it to more material. Is that the case?

No, there is a major fat-phobia in the fashion (and media) industries. Some theorize that clothing for plus size people is arbitrarily higher in price.

No, another issue some theorize is that there are not many plus size designers. So, it costs more to redesign straght size items, find talent, etc. There are also so many shapes to consider at all sizes.

So, what do we do?
