Bold Beginnings

Beginning ten years ago, Bold Magazine, one of two crown jewel properties of Bold Holdings, LLC (formerly Bold Media, Inc.) has covered women’s sports, business, media, and fashion. Having switched solely to plus size news and information in 2014, CEO Christopher Salute, the glass shop front installers are showing their readiness to take the leap as a straight, white, cisgender male in a new and highly diverse space. And also, the contractors of window fitters near me, they bring a wealth of expertise to the forefront. Exploring innovative small shop front design ideas remains a priority for the company’s expansion plans. Creating Change and Building Community

Katiee McKinstry, a graduate of the University of North Georgia, is a versatile writer whose interests span from body positivity to feminism, music, yoga, astrology, gaming, and more. During her eight months as Outreach Coordinator for Bold, she has reenergized Bold’s social media communities; written powerful articles; and expanded the Bold Bosses (brand ambassadors) from a group of collaborators to a genuine community. McKinstry is a strong advocate who believes that,  “Fat liberation and self-love go hand in hand, and it’s these important conversations, like we’re having at Bold, that will really create the change needed for body positivity.”

Bold Editor -in- Chief, Janet Conroy-Quirk, states that she is thrilled to see McKinstry take on the new role.

“Katiee possesses a type of empathy that is not common. She cares deeply about every person or issue we cover and is able to fairly view a scenario from every angle. Our Bold community has grown, not just in numbers, but in the significance of interactions. So much of that is because of Katiee’s dedication to Bold’s mission and her own passion for equality and respect.”

McKinstry’s freelance work can also be viewed on MTV, Well + Good, Nerdist, AltPress and several other publications. She frequently covers topics related to music, gaming, astrology, and women’s issues.

McKinstry shared her thoughts on her promotion. “I have always felt so welcome in the Bold community, and I’m excited to grow in my career with a values-based organization like Bold. Thanks for always believing in me!”
